The function of Bearing Tape is to guide the piston and piston rod of a hydraulic cylinder and to absorb the transverse forces which occur. At the same time, metallic contact between the sliding parts of the cylinder, e.g. piston and cylinder barrel or rod and cylinder head, must be prevented. Non-metallic guide rings offer major benefits compared with the traditional metallic guides:
